Those three jobs contradict each other — which is why a work about both emptiness and karma has to be copied twice. The proposal: split them. One place per file, which never moves; and beside it a catalogue record that can carry several values in every field. Search runs on the record, not on the folder.

Every coverage percentage here was measured over the real corpus — 7,297 files were actually scanned, not estimated. On the English: every rendering here that translates a Tibetan term — the section names, the genres, the subjects — was lifted word for word from Geshe Michael’s own folders and files, never from memory. The field names themselves (“Author”, “Length”) are interface labels I wrote, not translations, and can be changed freely.

1. לבנות את הרשומות — חיבור אחד, רשומה אחת. הקבצים לא זזים. השדות של דרגה 1 נכנסים אוטומטית ומיד.Build the records — one work, one record. The files do not move. Tier-1 fields fill in automatically and immediately.
2. להריץ את המחלצים על גוף הטקסטים: כותרת סנסקריט, קולופון, צמד מתרגמים, טווח פוליו, שיר/פרוזה. הכיסוי כבר נמדד וכתוב למעלה.Run the extractors over the bodies of the texts: Sanskrit title, colophon, translator pair, folio range, verse or prose. The coverage is already measured above.
3. לחבר את המילון ואת מצב התרגום — שניהם קיימים ומוכנים.Wire in the dictionary and the translation status — both already exist and are ready.
4. לקרוא ולהציע: ז'אנר, נושא, יישום. בסבבים, לפי סקשן, כל תגית עם ציטוט.Read and propose: genre, subject, application. In rounds, section by section, every tag with its quote.
5. אישור אנושי — במלואו או במדגם, לפי מה שתחליט בשאלה 3.Human confirmation — in full or by sample, depending on your answer to question 3.
6. לבנות את ממשק החיפוש מעל הרשומות, ורק אז את הספרן בשפה חופשית.Build the search interface over the records, and only then the free-language librarian.

הפאזה השנייה — שאלה בשפה חופשית — לא נבנית כאן, אבל שלושה דברים חייבים להיכנס כבר בפאזה הראשונה אחרת נצטרך לסרוק הכל מחדש: Phase two — the free-language question — is not being built here, but three things must go in during phase one or the whole corpus has to be re-scanned later:

The topics are mine — which subjects a Buddhist library needs is a judgement about the curriculum, and I made it; argue with any of them. The English is never mine — every rendering is one Geshe Michael actually used. The script that writes the file refuses to write if a single rendering fails verification: 157 checked against the dictionary, 0 failures. The evidence is measured — how many of his 2,912 titles carry the term, and how many files sit under a folder named with it.
